H&T began serving communities in London in 1897. Since then we have expanded to become one of the oldest and leading pawnbrokers in the UK. In recent years, H&T has accelerated its development by adding new products and services, expanding the store network and developing a complete online service. Our continued investment in the business and the communities we serve has resulted in us being the largest pawnbroker in the UK and Scotland.

Due to our continued growth, we are now seeking a qualified Graphic Designer to join our amazing team based within our Sutton Support Centre.

Role Summary

To produce creative material that supports all our Marketing channels including; print and digital campaigns, social media, visual merchandising and store signage. Manage work requests from the Marketing team and other internal departments as well as collaborating with external resources, agencies and partners. Ensure our brand integrity is protected, developed and evolved to promote H&T Pawnbrokers across all its core financial services as well as our ever growing retail offering, H&T Jewellery.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and produce marketing communications (print and digital) for a wide variety of platforms and campaigns, marketing collateral, video, photography, social media channels and press.
• Manage the design of corporate literature and internal communications (partnering with our employer brand team).
• Collaborate with other internal departments where needed to develop creative solutions to support business growth.
• Work with our Marketing team members to provide them with appropriate assets and creative that supports their goals.
• Work with the Senior brand & communications manager to evolve our brand guidelines and help develop our short and long term brand strategy.
• Creative development and delivery
• Monitor external brands and share inspiration & insights that could be used to shape our brand and creative strategy
• Deliver proofed, print ready artwork to our print suppliers.
• Maintain creative files so work can be easily accessed.
• Review and adhere to any relevant FCA guidelines for regulated services.
• Maintain quality and compliance checks on all output.
• Partner with our Property team to provide design ideas and consultation for all new stores, refurbishments and support to our 270+ store network.
• Work with the Marketing digital team leader to ensure that digital screens are optimized in stores with the latest content.
• Support our visual merchandising team with creative solutions that help promote our retail jewellery & watch range.
• Cross team collaboration
• Align brand & creative work with all methods of communications used within the business.
• Manage cross team projects as required.
• Metrics; Manage and record insights from internal and external resources to provide ongoing feedback on creative effectiveness.

Requirements / Level of Experience

A minimum of three years proven design experience, gained within an in-house creative department, design agency or similar functions. Qualification(s) in Graphic Design or related field.

Essential Skills

• Comprehensive working knowledge of the full Adobe Creative suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
• Strong knowledge of Canva to help internal team deliverables
• Proficient in MSOffice and Google workplace
• Experience in creative asset management
• Strong creative and time-management skills.
• Team player
• Digitally savvy in social media asset creation
• Detail and accuracy obsessed

Desirable Skills / Skillset

Motion graphics and web design capabilities. 

Knowledge of the financial services industry and (or) retail experience.
