Central Employment are working with a leading Sports Apparel Personalisation organisation, as they look for a Mid-weight Graphic Designer to join their creative team in Macclesfield.
The role is FT onsite, due to business needs, so the successful Graphic Designer must have reliable transport and can travel to Macclesfield.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure that all artwork is created correctly using the right materials and reducing costs where applicable.
- Liaising with production lead to ensure orders are being worked and prioritized correctly.
- Ensuring all artwork is filed, labelled, and stored correctly so it is accessible to those who need it.
- Be responsible and accountable for all artwork/designs or anything manufactured within the production lines.
- Create CAD proof books for new partners and sponsors.
- Ensuring the dimensions of the transfer logos are compliant with league regulations.
- Confidence when matching printed color swatches to pantone reference books. Possess the ability to make the relevant changes if desired color is not achieved.
Knowledge and Experience
MUST have experience in fashion/sports apparel industry.
- Preferred qualification in apparel and/or graphic design or similar.
- High proficiency in Illustrator & Photoshop. Some knowledge on InDesign preferred but not essential.
- Ability to convert .AI and .PS files into other formats.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Preferred experience working with one or more of the following pieces of machinery.

- Ability to edit, retouch & resize images with speed & accuracy.
- Demonstrate self-motivation, a strong work ethic, integrity and reliability.
- Excellent communication and interaction skills at all levels.
- Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced work environment under short deadlines
- Ability to take design feedback on board from the internal team and external clients.
- 2+ years of working in a graphic/design team.
- Strong creative portfolio
- Fully coherent of both the design techniques and product development processes relating to apparel and graphics, including a keenness to keep up to date with the latest products, styles and print techniques.
