Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Candidates will typically have 4 years of experience in sales, client relationship management, or account management.
- Experience leading outbound prospecting to cloud customers.
- Experience in promoting Google Cloud technologies.
- Experience with startup ecosystem.
Preferred qualifications:
- Typically 4 years of experience promoting to Startups and the Startup ecosystem.
- Experience in a small/medium business or scaled/highly dynamic business.
- Understanding of the technology market, including Google applications and cloud computing.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities and varying deadlines.
- Ability to speak about cloud computing (e.g., infrastructure, platform, and application) and perform basic technical qualifications.
- Passion for community building and customer success.
About the job
As a Greenfield Territory Sales Representative, you will be responsible for proactively partnering with non Google for Start up eligible customers, receiving and triaging leads, owning and responding in a timely manner to leads for eligible startups and passing eligible leads to the relevant partner while growing and developing customers.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute an acquisition strategy in partnership with early stage peers, marketing, and customer engineering to attract and onboard new early stage startup business to Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Generate a pipeline of opportunities, and close initial agreements and identify expansion workloads to achieve quarterly business goals.
- Navigate ambiguity, prioritize among competing priorities, and quickly learn Google Cloud systems, value propositions, and customer success stories.
- Communicate the business value and capabilities of Google Cloud Platform to engage and inspire executives at prospective customers to partner with Google.
- Build a high-quality pipeline of new business opportunities in the UKI region, utilizing English language skills.
