Northumberland Golf Club was founded in 1898 and is a leading private members club in the North-East of England. Our 22-hole Colt & Braid course has hosted regional Open Qualifying and numerous England Golf Championships. The club is actively working with world renowned golf course architects Mackenzie & Ebert, and one of the UK’s leading agronomists Gordon Irvine. Recent investments in excess of £0.75m include greens drainage and bunker re-developments, amongst other enhancements on the course.
Salary guided by BIGGA recommendations.
We are seeking a greenkeeper to join our expanding greenkeeping team.
You will work under the direction of the Course Manager and support him in the delivery of a championship golf course, renowned for its condition throughout the year.
Your principal responsibilities will include:
- Course set-up
- Mowing
- Course maintenance
- Machinery maintenance
- Project work
The person we are looking for will:
- Be a Level 2 qualified greenkeeper
- Be self-motivated and have good inter-personal skills
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team
- Good time management
- Positive can-do attitude
Qualifications (ideal but not essential):
- NVQ Level 2 in Sports Turf Maintenace or equivalent
- Chainsaw CS30/31 certification
- PA1, PA2 & PA6 spraying
- Driving licence

This is a full time, average 40-hour pw, permanent position.

The incumbent would be expected to work on a rota basis, including work on weekends and bank holidays.
