Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Grill & Fryer Chef to join our kitchen team at Cluckers Ltd. The Grill & Fryer Chef will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting a variety of chicken dishes using grilling and frying techniques. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and a love for working with food.

Key Responsibilities:

Food Preparation:

Prepare and marinate chicken cuts, ensuring they are seasoned to perfection.

Cut and portion chicken according to recipes and portion sizes.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grill and fryer stations.

Grilling and Frying:

Grill chicken cuts to the desired level of doneness, ensuring they are cooked evenly and have a delicious char.

Fry chicken pieces in the fryer, following established cooking times and temperature guidelines.

Monitor the quality of cooked chicken, adjusting cooking times and temperatures as needed.

Recipe Adherence:

Follow recipes and cooking procedures accurately to maintain consistency and quality.

Ensure that all food items are prepared and cooked according to company standards and customer preferences.

Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new recipes and menu items.

Food Safety and Hygiene:

Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times, including proper storage, handling, and cooking of food.

Maintain a clean and sanitized work environment, including equipment, utensils, and work surfaces.

Monitor and record temperatures of food items and cooking equipment as required.

Team Collaboration:

Work closely with other kitchen staff to coordinate cooking times and ensure timely preparation of orders.

Communicate effectively with the kitchen team and front-of-house staff to fulfill customer orders and requests.

Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff as needed.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Grill & Fryer Chef or similar role, preferably in a restaurant or food service establishment.

Knowledge of grilling and frying techniques, including temperature control and timing.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.

Food safety certification or willingness to obtain one.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £12.50-£16.50 per hour
