Grounds Maintenance Operatives (Swansea)

We are now looking for a Grounds Maintenance Operative to join us on a full-time (37 hours per week) on a 2 year fixed term basis. THE ROLE You will be expected to carry out landscaping and grounds duties and use a range of horticultural machinery. The role includes cleaning and Grounds Maintenance duties such as street sweeping, litter picking, leaf clearance, grass mowing and hedge cutting as well as implementing a planting plan and maintaining decorative grounds. ABOUT YOU To be considered for this role, you will need: PA1 (Safe handling & application of pesticides) and PA6 (Handheld application on land) or willingness to work towards Experience in providing high quality grounds and minor maintenance service Ability to identify potential risks and undertake risk assessments Valid full driving license. Due to the base being Swansea but the work being across the sites, the individual must be able to drive between Carmarthen and Lampeter and Swansea. These posts have to carry equipment between these sites and there is no regular public transport that would be suitable.
