The Welcome Hut and Gardens team are Beaverbrooks first impression to the 400 acre estate. As soon as you arrive at the gates you will be welcomed by our team and directed to your location. The Gardening team are responsible for maintaining our gardens throughout the seasons and ensures the estate retains its natural beauty.
An exciting vacancy has arisen for a driven and dynamic Groundsperson with garden maintenance experience, keen to continue to develop their gardening skills on a historic, 400 acre private estate in Surrey. The beautiful 25 acre garden is made up of herbaceous and mixed borders with a vast array of ornamental species including a Mediterranean garden and a prairie border, Italian garden, kitchen garden, lawns, wildflower meadows and woodland areas.
Applicants for this role will ideally have either experience working in a private estate garden or hold a horticultural qualification (NVQ or similar) or both. We also believe in providing professional development opportunities to employees in the early stages of their career who demonstrate the right attitude and commitment.
Candidates will have experience with general garden maintenance including mowing, weeding, strimming and hedge cutting. In addition, candidates will have good practical skills, be hands-on, and have with reasonable plant knowledge.

Working hours are Monday to Fridays 7am - 3.30pm with some variation depending upon the season. Salary is based on experience.
Applicants will ideally have a full driving licence and own transport.
