Form of workWe seek anindividual who will be responsible for maintenance of the council’scemeteries and churchyards.
Your primaryrole will be to carry out grounds maintenance work at cemeteries andchurch yards including grass mowing and assisting the cemetery-basedsextons with the preparation of burial plots.
Additionalresponsibilities include maintaining amenity land, including whitelining of sports pitches, replacing turf, erecting goal posts,maintaining surrounding hedgerows and shrubbery.
You will alsooperate a ride-on mower and occasionally use a tractor with a gangmower. Experience is preferred and a full current driving licence isessential.
Based atWillerby Depot for 37 hours per week with seasonal variation. Duringearly and late Summer, you assist with planting seasonal beddingschemes and during Winter you will carry out tree pruning andhedgerow maintenance works.
PAY &REWARD
Following the outcome of the council’s Total Pay andReward Review the salary from 1 April 2024 will be £25979 based on a37 hour working week.
