Job Summary
We are seeking reliable and hardworking Groundworkers to join our team. As a Groundworker, you will be responsible for performing various tasks to support construction and maintenance projects. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
We do have several opportunities for further expansion and are also happy to be contacted and keep your details for any future work covering all areas of the Newcastle and Sunderland.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of construction sites by clearing debris and setting up equipment
- Dig trenches, lay pipes, and install drainage systems
- Operate machinery such as excavators, rollers & dumpers.
- Assist with the pouring of concrete and the installation of concrete structures
- Perform general maintenance tasks such as flagging, block paving, etc.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
Requirements
- Previous experience in construction or a related field is preferred
- A valid CSCS / NPORS / CPCS card.
- Ability to operate machinery and power tools safely and efficiently
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Valid driver's license (or ability to travel to work).
