Group Accounting Manager

£40-£50K DOE + Company benefits and Employee car
Full Time Permanent / Monday – Friday
I am pleased to be acting on behalf of my client in the search for a Group Accounting Manager who will be responsible for leading their finance team. As the Group Accounting Manager, you will be a crucial member of the head office team, overseeing a team of account assistants and credit controllers.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Leading and managing a team to ensure that daily targets are met, as well as mentoring and developing team members for the department's smooth operation and career progression.
- Overseeing and reviewing the purchase ledgers of all branches to ensure complete accuracy and minimal risk, as well as ensuring that all branch cash books are posted daily and accurately.
- Daily cashflow forecasting, regular meetings with stakeholders and directors to review accounts and raise any concerns
- Timely banking reconciliations,
- Completion and presentation of year-end audits, and ensuring that the team is working towards both month-end and year-end deadlines.
Skills needed:
- Previous experience as a assistant or manager of a large accounts team
- Comprehensive experience of purchase ledger, cash books and expectations of running a finance department
- Strong people management skills
- Good communication skills
- Keen eye for detail and following / implementing procedures
