About the Role
Base Location: Reading, London, Glasgow or Perth
Salary: £45,400 - £68,200 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Brand and Advertising professional to play a key role in our central SSE Group Brand and Design team, responsible for delivering campaigns and initiatives to support SSE's strategic focus on the transition to net zero and reflecting our brand purpose to build a better world of energy.
As Group Brand and Advertising Manager, you'll be responsible for working with our media and creative agencies to deliver a multi-channel national brand Advertising campaign targeted to our key stakeholders, as well as supporting the Head of Group Brand and Design on projects to support our brand strategy, both internally and externally.
Passionate about delivering a consistent brand experience across all touchpoints, you'll have the ability to influence wider teams to drive alignment against our brand objectives and support advocacy for the SSE brand.
This role reports directly to the Head of Group Brand and Design and will work closely with the design and events teams to support the core and complementary business activities.
What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we'd love you to have:
- Experience of working on brand Advertising campaigns, either client or agency side with proven ability to get the best out of designers and agencies, both strategically and creatively, and in terms of effectiveness and value for money.
- Strong creative judgement and copywriting skills with the ability to distil complex information into digestible advertising messages for use across multiple channels.
- Experience in reviewing and feeding back on media plans and associated media metrics.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels with strong organisational skills and an exceptional attention to detail.
- Passionate about SSE's vision and brand purpose and an understanding of SSE's business strategy and the market we operate in.

Our Corporate Affairs, Regulation & Strategy (CARS) function combines three quite separate but intrinsically linked businesses, with a shared focus on advising, influencing and communicating SSE's strategy and interests with key stakeholders.
