The team you will be joining, the Group Capital Management Team, works closely with teams across the business including the wider Finance team, and the Risk and Commercial functions to support strategic decisions, provide insight from a capital perspective and ensure the effective management of capital.

What Will You Be Doing?
You will work closely with senior leaders to support strategic decisions providing insight from a capital perspective. You will also work in partnership with the business to ensure that the Society remains regulatory compliant in all areas of capital regulation and maintains an up to date understanding of the impact of new and emerging regulation. The co-ordination of cross functional activity is key to this role. In addition to technical excellence, the role requires strong business acumen and fantastic communication and influencing skills.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordination and preparation of monthly Capital Management information.
- Management and production of important capital deliverables including the Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP), capital stress testing and capital forecasting.
- Maintenance and ongoing development of the processes and procedures in place to ensure a robust control framework is maintained.
- Maintain an appropriate breadth and depth of technical knowledge in relation to prevailing and emerging regulatory capital requirements.
What Do We Need From You?
- Accountancy qualification (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
- An ability to interpret regulatory requirements and establish the impact of capital regulation on the Society.
- An ability to assimilate new and complex information.
- Knowledge of the prevailing and emerging prudential regulatory environment in which the Society operates.
