Hybrid WorkingJob Description Summary
Here at Lloyds Banking Group, we are passionate about delivering a high-quality apprenticeship experience to support everyone to realise their full potential.
It’s a chance to learn skills, gain qualifications and earn a salary, all while playing an important role in making finance a force for good.
Job Description
Group Corporate Treasury acts as the bank’s bank, making sure that we support the business in being able to provide products and services to our customers. So what does that actually mean?
We manage the funding, capital and market risk working with teams within the Group and with other banks and investors. Put simply – we make sure we have the cash we need to support lending to customers and to make sure people can make the payments they need to.
As a Group Corporate Treasury apprentice, you will gain expertise and the ability to create, verify and review accurate and timely financial information, meeting relevant ethical, professional and legal standards and accounting practices. Throughout the apprenticeship, you will be stretched and challenged to develop your technical knowledge and skills and to apply what you learn in your day-to-day role.
Your apprenticeship will cover key areas such as:
audit and assurance
finance, accounting and reporting
management accounting
governance, risk and control
strategic business management
taxation
We’ll support you in achieving the Level 4 and 7 apprenticeship qualifications, and you’ll end the scheme as a fully qualified accountant with a professional qualification (CIMA – Chartered Institute of Management Accountants). This will require a combined study time of around 5 years.
Our recruitment process has 3 steps – our online application, online assessments and an assessment day. You will be given full details of the process throughout your recruitment journey.
Key dates for your diary:
Assessment day: March / April 2024
Start: September 2024
Starting Salary: £24,539

WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Our main requirement is that you to have a passion for the role you’re applying for! Aside from this we have a few formal requirements:
Education:
GCSE English and maths at grades 4 – 9 or equivalent. If you do not hold the required GCSE grades, you’ll need to complete maths and English qualifications alongside your apprenticeship
AND
At least one A level or equivalent by September 2024.
Location:
You should live a commutable distance from the location in this advert. Our work style is hybrid and you should expect to be in the office at least 2 days per week.
Additional Requirements:
You’ll be aged at least 18 years old when the apprenticeship starts.
Whilst we welcome candidates who have a degree, this cannot be in a field related to the apprenticeship due to a crossover in learning. We’ll request a copy of your degree module transcript to review your prior learning if your degree may contain prior learning.
FOR INFORMATION: due to Home Office requirements regarding Skilled Workers, we’re unable to accept applications for visa sponsorship for our apprenticeship roles as the proposed salary for the role does not meet the minimum threshold – if this situation applies to you, please consider looking for other vacancies which may be more suitable.
