SalaryOur client is a well-respected business and rapidly expanding business operating with the Regulated Financial and Professional Service Industry with their Head office ideally located within Leicestershire.
As part of this continued expansion, FRS have been enlisted to assist with the recruitment of a Group Head of Finance to join the business.
Working closely with the CFO this position will be the 2nd most senior role within finance and will prove to be a key role to the Group as they go through a growth phase (both organic and via acquisitions)
The successful candidate will be calm, organised and experienced to work with both Board level stakeholders and also support their own small team, while being hands on.
Role & Responsibilities of the Head of Finance:
• Business partnering with Directors of all areas of the organisation
• Development of processes enabling daily forecasting with agility to market conditions
• Development of new analysis tools to drive performance through insight and data
• Marketing analysis to push spend into the most effective campaigns for revenue growth
• Competitor and Market Analysis and assist with due diligence process at times of acquisition.
• Creating and delivering financial and operational analytics and reporting
• Financial planning including accurate budgets and forecasts
• Monthly balance sheet reconciliations, Petty cash and expenses management
• Manage the company pension scheme.
• Bridging sales and finance functions to ensure reporting of sales and costs correctly in P&L
• Leading improvements to the efficiency, quality and integrity of management information
• Liaising directly with various external organisations including bank and company auditors
• Driving projects throughout the business for cost savings, bottom-line improvements and general business improvement / automation.
About You as the Head of Finance:
Qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA) - CIMA or AAT in addition is desirable.
Experience with Xero or similar Accounting Software.
Experience of management accounts production and budget preparation.
Experience managing a small finance team while being hands on.
Proven background creating and implementing more efficient processes in the finance department
Passion for financial and commercial analysis with ability to business partner.,
High level of commercial awareness
