The role

 

We’re looking for an Group Internal Audit Manager to join our N Brown team

A leadership role within the Group Internal Audit Team (GIA) who designs assurance strategies, manages the delivery of timely and insightful assurance and a catalyst for functional improvements.

Working closely with the Group Head of Internal Audit to report on the effectiveness of the Group’s internal control environment and to deliver the GIA strategy.

What will you do as anGroup Internal Audit Managerat N Brown?

Design and implement risk-based audit approach Manage delivery of audit reviews (multiple at times) and ,on occasion, performs audits
Manage the development of skills Co-ordinate and support the delivery of strategic initiatives, functional improvements
Responsible for managing the annual/periodic Internal Audit planning process Responsible for managing co-source relationships
Responsible for the delivery of the audit plan (except technology audits) Represent Internal Audit in key Operational Governance meetings within the Financial Services division and across the Group
Line manager for Retail / FS Lead auditor / Line manager for junior auditor Qualifications and skills: 7+ years of experience preferably auditing in Consumer credit or Retail environment
Experience in setting Internal Audit methodology and operating practices, preferably with agile auditing ways of working Managing teams, supervise and quality assurance audit delivery
Demonstrate an understanding of strategic and organisational risks, sector relevant regulatory environment and emerging technologies/retail practices to ensure audit work is risk based and meeting regulatory / business scrutiny Competence to deliver strategic initiatives, driving operational efficiency and functional improvements
Higher education (e.g. bachelor's degree) in relevant business discipline such as accounting, math, law, public administration or computer information systems Holds a recognised professional qualification in their field of expertise (e.g. CIMA, ACCA, IRM, CIA, CISA)
Experience in the use of Data analytics and auditing in digitally led business environment is preferable

Ways of Working

We offer hybrid working which varies across the business depending on the role you’re in. Our Head Office is located in the Northern Quarter in Manchester City Centre. So if you are travelling by train, tram or bus we’re perfectly located, plus we’re surrounded by cool cafes, trendy bars and the best places to eat!

Our working hours are 36.17 per week and our core working hours are between 9am - 5pm.
