Group Internal Audit Manager

This rewarding opportunity seeks a Internal Audit Manager who will provide independent assurance to the Audit Committee on the effectiveness of risk management and internal control systems. Based in Manchester, the successful candidate will play a key role ensuring the Audit Standards are maintained and in-line with IIA Standards.

Description

• Oversee the Internal Audit function within the business,
• Provide independent assurance on the effectiveness of internal controls.
• Manage a co-source relationship ensuring reviews are delivered in a timely manner,
• Ensure the function is up to date with IIA Standards,
• Manage and develop a small team of Internal Auditors.
• Lead operational and financial audits across the business.
• Develop and execute a robust audit plan.
• Collaborate with external auditors as necessary.
• Promote a culture of compliance and risk awareness within the business.

Profile

A successful Internal Audit Manager should have:

• A professional qualification in Accounting or Auditing (ACA, ACCA, IIA or equivalent).
• Solid experience in Internal Audit,
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and develop a team,
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels,
• Proven ability to develop and execute audit plans,
• A solution-focused approach, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements,
