Job description
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and dynamic person to support the Trust Radiation Assurance Team, through a ‘can do’ approach. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-moving environment, and who has the skills and temperament to work in a collaborative manner across a wide range of internal services.
The post holder will work as a member of the Group Radiation Assurance team to coordinate and deliver a range of activities at site level and within individual service groups, to ensure compliance with the Radiation Safety standards. This post holder will work with the Group Radiation Safety Assurance Manager on the Radiation Assurance programme across the hospital sites of the Barts Health Group, working with departments where ionising and non ionising radiation is used for the diagnosis and treatment of disease, screening programmes and research. The programme will ensure consistency of approach across all hospital sites, minimising duplication and promoting best practice.
Based at the St Bartholomew’s site the postholder will work with clinical teams, Radiation Safety team and governance bodies to provide assurance that there is compliance with regulations governing the use of ionising radiation with respect to patient, staff and public safety. There is a requirement for the postholder to work on other Barts Health hospital sites.
