A Group Reporting Manager job opportunity to work for one of South Yorkshire's leading employers.

Elevation Senior Finance are delighted to be partnering with this successful PLC, as they look to recruit a technically strong Accountant who will have an key role in developing the external reporting team and ensuring the external reporting deadlines are successfully adhered to.

Responsibilities will include:

  • To work with the Head of Finance and Reporting to deliver agreed outcomes for the external reporting team as well as continuous improvement priorities, creating a positive high-performance culture across the team
  • Support senior finance colleagues to meet wider finance team objectives 
  • Maintan appropriate processes and controls and lead the team to improve areas where improvements are required
  • Liaise with key stakeholders across the business to support team objectives
  • Review and management of the external reporting requirements
  • Line management and coaching of team to ensure their continued development
  • Manage the timetable and delivery requirements for external reporting, ensuring that work is completed accurately and in line with agreed timescales
  • Ensure the quality and timeliness of team outputs through the implementation of appropriate controls, reviews and oversight
  • Maintaining a continuous improvement mentality to continually drive progress in support of finance and wider Group objectives through people, knowledge, systems, processes and the wider control environment
  • Proactively managing risks across team activities
  • Proactively monitor accounting, tax and other regulatory updates applicable to the Group reporting and compliance requirements 
  • Support the Internal Reporting team with internal reporting requirements; which in turn supports external reporting compliance

To be successfull you will need the following:

  • Fully qualified ACA
  • Preferably Practice trained
  • Strong technical accounting skills
  • Experience of IFRS
  • Team management experience
