The Role
Reporting to the Global Head of Tax, your role will be to perform the following:
Tax Reporting: Preparing and reviewing tax provisions and disclosures for financial statements in accordance with accounting standards and tax regulations. Ensuring that tax positions and reserves are properly documented and supported.
Tax Compliance: Ensuring that all group companies meet their tax obligations by preparing and filing accurate and timely tax returns. This includes various taxes such as income tax, sales tax, VAT, payroll tax, and other relevant taxes.
Transfer Pricing: Analysing and managing transfer pricing arrangements within the group and assist our external advisors with the preparation of the annual TP documentation.
Tax Audits and Disputes: Representing the group in tax audits conducted by tax authorities and assist our external advisors in resolving any tax-related disputes or controversies that may arise.
Key tasks include:
Tax Reporting
- Review tax pack submissions from group companies.
- Prepare half and full year tax consolidation.
- Prepare deferred tax analysis.
- Calculate ETR and tax provision.
- Provide input for the digitalisation and automation of the tax reporting process.
Tax Compliance
- Collate and provide the necessary data for the preparation of UK corporate tax returns to our external tax consultants.
- Review and advise on the digitalisation and automation of the CIT filing process.
- Review VAT processes and provide input for the digitalisation and automation of the periodical filing process.
- Monitor and ensure filing of corporate tax returns by foreign Group companies.
- Training on legislative compliance.
Transfer Pricing
- Provide data and input to our external advisors for annual TP reports.
- Calculate and assist in the preparation of quarterly management charges.
- Calculate quarterly interest rates and charges.
- Periodically review TP policy.
Tax Audits and Disputes
- Manage tax audits and engage with external advisors on approach to tax authorities.
- Retrieve and collate requested documentation and ensure deadlines for submitting these to the authorities are met.
- Liaise between local management and external advisors.
