Group Tax Manager

Your new company
This is a large, leading UK healthcare company which is highly reputable and has an excellent working culture. They have numerous sites across the UK, and are recruiting a Group Tax Manager to be based in their Darlington head office on a highly flexible basis.
Your new role
This role will see you take the lead on group corporate, VAT and employment tax for UK business, whilst assisting with managing the relationship with external advisors and HMRC, whilst reporting to the Head of Tax and Treasury.

• Working with external tax advisers to ensure the group of companies is compliant with corporate and indirect tax legislation.
• Support the Board in strategic corporation tax planning for the wider group, whilst advising the group on strategic indirect tax planning.
• Preparing, reviewing and submitting tax returns.
• Answering tax computation queries as set by external auditors, and liaising with HMRC on various tax matters
• Researching and analysing tax legislation on a frequent basis, and cascading updates to key stakeholders across the group.
• Expand your understanding of corporation tax, SDLT/Stamp duty, employment taxes, VAT for property, transfer pricing, capital allowances, corporate criminal offence, tax avoidance, corporate debt and corporate interest restriction (CIR).

What you\'ll need to succeed
You will be a qualified accountant, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CTA or ATT who has specialised in tax with over 3-5 years worth of experience. This role is open to both first-time movers, and individuals with existing industry experience. Ideally, you will have strong CT knowledge, but the company is also open to people with VAT or employment tax backgrounds.
What you\'ll get in return
This role is open to individuals on a full-time or part-time basis, and pays between £45,000 and £60,000 dependent on experience. You will also receive:
