As part of the world’s largest contract caterer, Compass Group UK&I operates multiple brands in the education, business, healthcare, government, defence, sports and leisure industries where we provide both food and soft facilities management services.The Business Solutions team are responsible for design, build and system test across a suite of enterprise applications to shape solutions that can support our business and add value to the services we provide.
We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and customer-oriented Guest Services Assistant to join our dedicated Support Services Team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a welcoming team whilst ensuring that all clients and visitors are greeted and dealt with in a warm and efficient manner. Key responsibilities:
• Visitor and Client Relations: Handle all enquiries and feedback promptly and professionally. Demonstrate a ‘can-do’ attitude towards individual requests and strive to exceed visitor/clients expectations.• Visitor and Contractor Management - Perform efficient and courteous sign-in and sign-out processes, including access passes issue and giving directions.• Switchboard Operations: Manage telephone enquiries and clients/visitor messages efficiently, adhering to company policies and providing accurate information.• Daily Reception Duties: Make meeting room reservations, book transportation and flowers, assist with courier and mail requests, accept deliveries and fill in goods in sheets, carry out new starter inductions.• Coordinating onsite EV charging: Collect and accurately label keys belonging to individuals to ensure their proper return. Park vehicles in dedicated EV bays within the car park and connect/disconnect EV charger.• Visitor and Client Records: Maintain accurate accounts, records, and databases, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with company policies and data protection regulations.• VIP and Special Requests Handling: Ensure personalized service for VIP guests, handling special requests, and managing their specific needs.• Assist Other Departments: Collaborate with other departments, such as Post room, catering, cleaning, Innovation Centre and security to ensure seamless operations.• Continual Learning and Improvement: Stay updated on company’s services and facilities to provide visitors and clients with current and relevant information, continuously improving service delivery.• Operational Excellence and H&S: Ensure compliance with the company regulations for health, safety, and hygiene.

Essential Skills:

  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Proficient telephone etiquette
  • High standards of presentation.
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proactive and team-oriented attitude
  • Driving license
Desirable Skills
  • Previous experience in Corporate Reception, Hotel, Hospitality, Office Facilities Team or working in busy and fluctuating environment.
  • Passion of working in environments involving high levels of customer service
  • Currently working in a 5* Hotel or High-end corporate reception
