About the position:
The Guesthouse Housekeeping Supervisor is required to clean rooms /communal areas, train and evaluate the cleaning team whilst overseeing the running of the housekeeping within the guest houses.
Communication with your line managers / cleaners is very important and logging of issues found is essential. You are expected to report and react and find solutions to problems regarding housekeeping. We also expect you to ensure the property is secure at all times and report if you think there are any issues with guests. We expect linens/cleaning products to be stored neatly and you are required to inform management of any items low in stock or missing.
We aim to provide the best customer experience to our guests through beautifully presented and immaculate rooms. You are required to find solutions to problems that arises, work alone and in our team. You are required to be good with mobile phone apps and have good computer skills.
Key responsibilities:
- Log into our phone app when on shift
- Check with WhatsApp group chats
- Report and bag up unsatisfactory linens
- Check cleaning product supplies
- Check guest supplies
- Check laundry areas
- Communicate with Guesthouse Housekeeping Manager
- Communicate with the Guest Communication Team
- Communicate with the Guesthouse Porter
- Complete supervisor's checklists and fix any issues found
- Complete any cleaning tasks assigned to you
- Report maintenance issues found
- Check property information boards and update when necessary
Requirements and qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years housekeeping experience
- Previous working within a hotel or guest house
- Good team member
- Excellent at communicating
- Good written and verbal English
- Problem solver
- Quick thinker

Payment terms:
- Rate: £15 per hour
- Active hours to be logged on our app
- To invoice on 15th of every month, allowing 3 – 4 business days for payment (weekly invoicing and payment can be discussed if preferred)
