Gym Assistant

We are looking for exciting individuals to join our Gym Team. You will help illuminate the way for our members. You will coordinate the Member Experience, while offering a top tier level of Hospitality. You are the Ambassador of first impressions - your role is to warmly greet and assist Members and Guests and maintain the look and flow of the space.

Duties:

· Being comfortable in conversing with Members, Guests and potential leads regarding the space, various programmes, and amenities offered.

· Maintain constant surveillance of members in the facility and respond to any emergencies quickly and effectively.

· Enforce gym policies and safety rules to create a safe and enjoyable environment for members.

· Assist members with the use of the sauna and steam room

· General day to day administrative tasks; responding to emails, answering the phone etc

· Ensure that all equipment is cleaned and operated in accordance with the operating instructions

· Report any equipment faults to the maintenance department.

· Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the gym floor, changing rooms and other common areas.

· Collaborate with other gym staff and departments to ensure a cohesive and positive member experience.

· Communicate effectively with management regarding any issues, suggestions or feedback from members.

· Assist with gym tours and membership sign-ups, providing information on membership options, benefits and pricing.

· Run group exercise classes, inductions and deliver tailored gym programmes.

Requirements:

· Excellent verbal and written communication

· Previous experience in a customer service or fitness-related role is preferred

· Knowledge of fitness equipment and exercise techniques is beneficial

· Basic computer skills for performing administrative tasks and using gym management software.

· Team player with the ability to work independently and collaborately with others

Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract

Salary: £11.44 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
