Hours: Full time - Up to 37.5 hours per week (parttime considered)
Shift Pattern: Mon-Fri, 8am-4pm
Pay Rates - Day: £21.80
The Role
We have a vacancy in our team for a qualified and experienced Hand Therapist. To provide specialised assessment and treatment for Hand Therapy patients with complex needs and to provide expert advice, guidance and information to health and social care professionals, carers, relatives, and other non- professionals.

The Responsibilities
If you are successful in your application to this post, you will be expected to manage and deliver on the responsibilities outlined below - as well as those not included here, call today to discuss further:
- To perform advanced occupational/physiotherapy therapy assessment of patients with diverse presentations, complex physical and psychological conditions; to develop and implement an individualised treatment programme which will contribute to rehabilitation and self management.
- To be responsible for own caseload and a defined area of the service, working without direct supervision. Supervision occurs at regular one to one session with the line manager, formal training, clinical reasoning sessions, peer review, case conferences and reflective practise. Access to a senior Occupational/Physio Therapist for advice and support is always available.
- To undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner.
- To be responsible for supervision, education and assessment of basic grade Occupational Therapists and support staff.
- To supervise, educate and assess occupational therapy students; this is to graduate level and involves close working with universities to ensure practise and teaching meet the standards set by the degree level qualification.
- To undertake evidence-based audit and research projects to develop and enhance personal and team clinical practise. To assist in the implementation of specific changes to practise and contribute to the development of service protocols.
To be successful in applying for this role you will need:
To have degree level or equivalent in Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy and be registered with Health and Care professions council (HCPC).
NHS experience
Hand therapy experience required.
In addition to experience, all Qualified roles will be required to provide evidence of

- Registration with the relevant Registration Body if applicable.
