Our Home

Our children's homes support children with learning disabilities, autism and challenging behaviours. We work together to meet the needs of our looked after children between the ages of 11-18; creating a stable foundation which will prepare them for the next stage of their lives.

About the role

As a Handyperson with us, you will be responsible for the routine maintenance, safety and security of the building and grounds; carrying out checks and minor repairs as necessary to ensure our homes remain safe and well maintained for the children. We want our homes to be exceptional for the children we are entrusted to care for. It's what we strive to provide and what our children want and need.

We welcome applications from people who are happy and confident to work alongside our children to help them gain simple life skills and to assist with creative projects.

To be considered for shortlisting for this position, your application will clearly evidence the following:

  • Some transferable DIY skills and the ability to maintain a small garden
  • The ability to develop positive and appropriate relationships

If this sounds like you and you can match our energy to be exceptional, we (and our children) really want to hear from you!
