The Head Nurse is a key member of the Senior Management Team. The role is fundamentally about driving best practice and high standards throughout the business with regards to the delivery of clinical packages.
This role will be responsible for the oversight throughout the business on all clinical aspects, from clinical policies, processes and training to care delivery and the management of complex care packages in line with the business strategy.
The post holder will act as a clinical advisory within the business and is expected to lead by example and recognise the individual abilities within the branch network in order to identify and mitigate risk. The role will work collaboratively with Operations in order to successfully deliver the business objectives.

The main duties of the Head Nurse role include:
* Ensure adherence to up-to-date clinical guidance and evidence-based practice within the business.
* Maintain a strong working knowledge of current recommended clinical practices.
* Draft clinical policies, procedures, and documents, updating them to align with current NICE guidance.
* Provide advisory support to staff, particularly on clinical and safeguarding incidents.
* Support the clinical team and collaborate with the Care at Home Team to achieve business strategy.
* Foster regular communication between Operations and the Clinical Team.
* Manage new Clinical referrals and ensure ongoing oversight of these packages.
* Collaborate with the Training Team to establish adequate training mechanisms for safe and effective care.
* Support compliance with CQC standards, company policies, and legislation, providing coaching to branches for safe care delivery.

What we are looking for in a successful candidate:
* Registered Nurse with active NMC Pin
* Experience in Adult Nursing is essential
* Experience in Paediatric Nursing desirable
* Team Leader/Management experience
* Experience in training
* Experience in policy and document writing
* Computer literate
* Driving license is essential
