HEAD OF NURSING

£65,000 - £70,000 PER ANNUM

ST ELIZABETH’S – HERTFORDSHIRE

PERMANENT, FULL-TIME

About the role

St Elizabeth’s nursing team provides 24-hour assessment, treatment, diagnosis and emergency care for children and young people with complex learning difficulties and epilepsy. We are a unique organisation, with children and young people accessing our services for care, education, nursing and therapy in Much Hadham, Hertfordshire. This is an exciting time to join St Elizabeth’s as we look to grow our offer and increase our admissions. This role will form part of the Senior Leadership Team, and will act as the clinical expert for St Elizabeth’s.

You will continuously improve and innovate through collaboration and team work, ensuring that we achieve and exceed our current Good rating set by CQC. You will take responsibility for maintaining and improving all nursing services across St Elizabeth’s whilst working alongside other multi-disciplinary staff and management. You will provide an excellent nursing service, implementing best practice and improving standards and quality at all times. You lead, mentor and develop the nursing team, ensuring appraisals and supervisions are carried out to operational standards, whilst demonstrating effective leadership skills within clinical services.

The post holder will be responsible for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable children and young people and will be the Registered Manager for St Elizabeth’s nursing agency, as registered with CQC.

About you

Working hours are 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. This may include one weekend every 4 weeks and one late shift per week, dependent on the operational needs of the service.

Our benefits

*In addition to excellent staff training, our employees are also rewarded with various other benefits offered as part of your employment:
