Head of Adult Commissioning

Job Title: Head of Commissioning - Adult Older People
Contract Length: 6-month initial interim contract
Location: Midlands Local Authority
Working arrangements: Hybrid working
Pay rate: £600 per day
IR35 Status: Inside IR35
Start date: ASAP
An exciting opportunity to work with one of Baltimore's established clients in the Midlands as they look to secure an experience commissioning professional to lead as the Head of Service on an interim basis.
Your duties as Head of Commissioning:
Support the Director of Commissioning in the implementation of flagship commissioning programmes, whilst also leading on the operational delivery of the councils Adult Commissioning function.
Work closely with procurement and contract management professionals to ensure resources are deployed appropriately, ensuring wider commissioning activities are consistent and effective.
Provide support, guidance and direction to the commissioning team, leading and applying expert knowledge.
Experience needed as Head of Commissioning:
Adult Social Care Commissioning experience, specifically within a local authority setting, with previous experience of leading local government adult social care commissioning departments.
Experience of developing service user and stakeholder involvement in the commissioning and delivery of services to implement and deliver strategic service outcomes.
High level of resilience, advocacy, persuasion and emotional intelligence
Knowledge of current relevant legislation and statutory duties, responsibilities and best practice in relation to the commissioning and contracting of Adult Services.Please note CV's are being reviewed immediately with interviews taking imminently.
