See attached document for Job Description and advert To ensure the provision of a safe, effective and patient focused Biochemistry and Central Specimen Reception (CSR) Service across North Kent Pathology Service (NKPS), covering the operational service across Darent Valley Hospital, Medway Maritime Hospital, Community and Primary Care and any other users of the service. The post will be based at Darent Valley Hospital, with a requirement to travel to Medway Maritime Foundation Trust to the spoke site and the elective care site Queen Mary Hospital (QMH) Sidcup. The post holder is responsible for the overall management of the Biochemistry and Blood Sciences Central Specimen Reception services; making effective use of available resources and maintaining a cost efficient, quality based optimal service across the areas of responsibility. To lead on service transformation, the implementation of operational and clinical innovations, and strategic planning for the Department.
To provide leadership and line management to the Biomedical Scientists (BMS) and CSR Management Team as well as overall management for all staff within the aligned service.
