Salary: £47,190 - £55,500 per annum dependant on experience
Positiontype: Full Time. Working pattern37.5 hours per week (although flexible working arrangements can be considered)

About Us

Our natural world is in trouble. But at WWT we know there’s a wondrous solution. You’ll find it wherever water meets land. Wetlands are super-powered ecosystems. They teem with wildlife, buffer us from floods, purify our water, lift our mood and sink carbon. But we are losing them at a staggering rate.

WWT is the charity for wetlands and wildlife. We’re on a mission to restore wetlands and unlock their power and empower everyone to do the same. From getting muddy outdoors and pioneering research, to creating unprecedented partnerships and rallying governments worldwide, we’re leading the way. We’re sharing the wonders of wetlands and building a global community of nature lovers who will champion wetlands and help wildlife bounce back.

Last year we launched Wetlands Are The Way, our strategy to 2030. It sets out how we will change to be a beacon of hope and optimism, finding solutions in today’s world. Together we will create a world where wetlands burst with life and enrich our lives.

The Role

As Head of Brand and Marketing you will be joining at a key moment as we start to implement our new strategy. You will have a leading role in bringing our new brand to life across the charity and helping to deliver our ambitions to restore bigger, better wetlands; to inspire people to value, act for and benefit from wetlands; and to ensure we are a thriving, sustainable and effective organisation.

You will lead, develop, and support the Brand and Marketing team, one of five functions in the Fundraising, Marketing and Communications directorate. It works with teams across WWT to raise awareness of wetland conservation, drive visitors to our ten sites, and increase membership and donations so we can deliver our strategy. You will also play a key role in helping WWT to develop a more confident voice that makes the case for wetlands in a bolder, fresher way and inspires people to take action for wetlands in a way that’s right for them.

This is a chance to make a real impact in an organisation that wants to put wetlands centre stage and show the wondrous solutions that they offer. You will be inspired by the natural world and want to play a role in restoring it for the future of life on earth. You will be ambitious and entrepreneurial, a strategic thinker with an eye for detail, and with a real interest in supporting and developing your people.

About You

To join as our Head of Brand and Marketing you will:

  • Be experienced in developing and delivering Brand and product or visitor marketing strategies.
