REQUIREMENTS
Experience as a multi-site Registered Manager or Operations Manager in Children's Residential care services.
A proven track record of achieving at least 'good' ratings in Ofsted inspections.
A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
Compass Associates are representing an independently owned provider which specialises in residential services for children with social and emotional needs and learning difficulties. The business is seeking an experienced Multi-Site Registered Manager or Operations Manager in the sector to join them in this Head of Care position, where they can mentor and support Registered Managers to create a warm and caring environment for the children they support.
THE ROLE
As Head of Care, you will be responsible for the smooth running of a good-rated portfolio of residential services. The Registered Managers of these services will all report directly to you while you visit and supervise services, carry out quality audits and monitor progress, and act as a port-of-call for local authorities.
THE CANDIDATE
It is essential that candidates have experience as a Multi-Site Registered Manager in the children's social care sector. Applicants must also be commercially astute and understand what it takes to operate portfolio of profitable services, e.g. liaising with local authorities and managing occupancy and agency use.
The ideal candidate should also have proven experience of delivering consistently high quality of service within the sector, and therefore you should have a track record of 'good' or 'outstanding' Ofsted ratings. The position requires somebody who has extensive knowledge of current statutory and regulatory guidelines governing the operation of services for children and young people, as they must be able to confidently lead a team of Registered Managers to ensure great quality care to all service users.
INTERVIEW PROCESS
A two-stage interview process: an informal Teams call, then a formal face-to-face interview.
