What the Hiring Manager Says
This pivotal role forms part of the Quilter Change Leadership Team (LT) working closely with peers to ensure a high level of collaboration and accountability. Reporting to the Change Director with oversight for the Business Analyst (BA) and Project/Programme Manager (PM) communities with both solid and dotted line reporting. This role will be responsible for the overall development of the communities, ensuring competencies, career paths and talent management is in place and managing the capacity service. It will be critical to ensure a competent, flexible resource pool with the right capabilities to deliver change is available and forecasted appropriately to meet the demand of the change portfolio.
This role will demonstrate success by providing people management, leadership, and direction to a large matrix managed team to ensure the right amount of highly skilled and motivated BA's and PM's can understand and deliver the business objectives whilst adhering to the common Quilter Change framework.
We are looking for someone with ability to work with a wide variety of stakeholders including ExCo, to drive decision making and maintain delivery momentum in a growing, fast paced environment.

Reporting to the Change Director, you will lead the BA and PM Change practices and ensure Quilter has access to the right quality and quantity of BA and PM skills. This exciting role will attract those who enjoy managing, leading, and motivating large diverse teams with a hands-on style, an eye for detail and consistently high standards.
You will be accountable the continually evolving BA and PM capacity and capability skills matrices. You will need to be able to demonstrate the ability to assign the most appropriate BA or PM with the correct skills/capabilities whilst also considering development needs and career trajectories (and ensuring clear career paths that can be applied at an individual level).
To ensure success this role will work closely with the Change Resourcing manager ensuring a forward-looking full team capability and capacity when planning for deployment onto current and future projects. Managing a resourcing ratio of permanent/contingency employees to pre-set ratios with a preference for deploying permanent employees onto the strategic high-profile projects and utilising contingency workers to back fill. Critically you will ensure that Change programmes and projects have access to flexible resources, in particular BA's, to be used at the pre-project stage.
You will undertake permanent line management activities of the team whilst seeking feedback on performance on projects and objectives. For virtual team (dotted line) members you will provide feedback to relevant line managers.
We are looking for someone who is comfortable working with a wide variety of stakeholders, up to and including ExCo, ensuring the right level and pace of analysis for scoping of initiatives and solutions whilst escalating and resolving obstacles to successfully deliver and achieve objectives.
Key responsibilities will be the continuous improvement of competency models, best practice service frameworks, standards, and a knowledge base for both practices, ensuring both pools demonstrate the requisite level of quality and adherence to the Change framework.
Equally accountable for ensuring project and programme alignment to the business operating plan and driving the successful delivery and achievement of business outcomes identified for the Portfolios. You will manage risks and ensure mitigation plans are put in plans and tracked on an ongoing basis.
As required you will support functional, business executives and teams, as well as the Change Director, with management of execution or outcome risk, including Portfolio analysis and scheduling /alignment opportunities.

We are looking for someone who has a high level of personal confidence, being able to lead and manage Change through influence and persuasion.
In addition, we want someone with a delivery focus, high energy, and drive with the ability to deliver to tight deadlines through others via exceptional delegation and interpersonal skills. This role requires the ability to make decisions and execute in a fast, simple, and focused way.
Comfortable negotiating, building relationships whilst communicating with impact. Possessing superior presentation and written communication skills.
