About the Opportunity
Jacobs are offering an exciting opportunity to join our Divergent Solutions business. We work on a range of projects for our diverse client portfolio that covers Defence, Critical National Infrastructure and Nuclear market sectors.
We are looking for a self starting, motivated and experienced Commercial Manager to join our growing Technology and Innovative Solutions Business in the UK.
Reporting to the Group Director, you will be responsible for commercial advice and support to bids, frameworks, and projects across our portfolio.
  • Implement commercial best practice and negotiate terms and conditions to maximise value and minimise risk and cost.
  • Support the business in developing and implementing commercial strategies for successfully winning bids and managing post contract activities.
  • Contribute to the development of supply chain strategies for winning bids and delivering projects.
  • Draft, negotiate and executing of partnering arrangements such as teaming agreements and joint ventures.
  • Communicate and negotiate with key customer interfaces and supply chain.
  • Commercially manage the bid and tender process.
  • Resolution of variations, disputes and contractual interpretation issues.
  • Support mobilisation of key contracts
  • Work with key suppliers in pre and post contract environments - Lead the commercial management of subcontract accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with the company systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Help Deliver financial results on projects through effective commercial and subcontract management.
  • Co-ordinate the submission in a timely manner of change requests, with price and programme effects, for subsequent agreement.
  • Promote a team-working environment.

Here's What You'll Need:
  • Major contract experience gained in a MoD, technology, nuclear and/or Infrastructure industries.
  • Knowledge of ITAR, EAR and Export compliance
  • Working knowledge of MoD and/or NEC Contracting procedures
  • Strong negotiation experience
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen.
  • Effective communicator in English language both written & oral
