Who You'll Be Working For:

We are thrilled to be recruiting a Head of Commercial for this fantastic, growing, global travel brand which was born in the States in 2009. The company operates in North America & Europe and has truly exciting growth plans.

Creating memorable experiences for their travellers using born and bred locals who know the destinations, things to see, do, and eat better than any others could ever do, they are widely known in their key areas for being the go-to travel company that will exceed expectations and delight customers.

You'll collaborate closely with the COO, Regional Operations Managers, and their core leadership team to develop and execute an ambitious growth plan for the company's global commercial strategy.

Together, you will work to ensure that the company establishes itself as a market leader in both existing and new markets by driving innovation and refining its product and sales approach.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a market expansion strategy from the outset, analysing data and market dynamics to pinpoint fresh growth prospects in locations, sectors, and product lines
  • Guide a distributed product team across regions to implement growth strategies that align with both global and local objectives, collaborating closely with regional teams to define the product plan
  • Develop sales strategies for OTA, trade, passes, and distribution channels, utilising relationship-building skills and innovative approaches to grow current operations and entice fresh collaborations
  • Assume complete responsibility for the product plan, ensuring it can grow and make money by working closely with regional teams and partners while staying true to core values
  • Handle inventory to match customer needs and put in place efficient methods to increase profits to the highest level possible
  • Work with technology, marketing, and e-commerce partners to increase product sales and visibility across direct and OTA channels
  • Ensure high-quality products to deliver exceptional experiences to customers worldwide
  • Supervise the Profit and Loss for the Commercial division, working closely with the C-Suite and Finance to create and manage a worldwide P&L
  • Direct the contracting procedure to create and uphold strong relationships with key suppliers, such as attractions, tour operators, OTA's, and ground service providers
  • Lead the pricing strategy on a worldwide scale
  • Collaborate closely with the VP of Marketing to align product marketing vision and strategies

Experience Required:

  • You must have a track record of success within a senior commercial or product role focussing on short tours, excursions, day trips or attractions
  • Experience distributing product via Online Travel Agencies (OTAs)
  • Global business experience with excellent familiarity across Europe and North America
  • Analytical. Data-Driven – ability to build, interpret and present data
  • Skilled in product and sales growth
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • You can effectively showcase a strategy and confidently present new business plans and ideas to top-level executives
  • Experienced in enhancing or constructing commercial processes to optimise performance
  • Experience in a growing or new business environment, comfortable taking action quickly and using data in a business-minded setting
  • Past involvement in e-commerce, at ease evaluating, tracking, and applying insights from trends to foster growth
