We are seeking an exceptional individual to join us as the Head of Group Commercial Finance, a pivotal role at the heart of our organisation. This is a unique opportunity to partner with our Group Leadership Team (GLT) and Board to shape the future of our commercial endeavours.
Your Role:
As the Head of Group Commercial Finance, you will be the driving force behind the commercial performance of The Crown Estate. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing deep commercial insights into the performance of The Crown Estate, challenging and influencing the GLT and Board and other Executive Committees.
- Collaborating with our Sustainability and Strategy teams to ensure an integrated approach to capital allocation and decision-making, with a joint approach to developing the frameworks and tools to ensure effective decision making across all aspects of the VCF.
- Developing targets, metrics, and reporting to drive a step-change in our commercial performance across the organisation.
- Driving continuous improvement in both financial and operational key drivers, and how these are reported
- Leading the business planning process for the Group, including strategic planning and scenario analysis.
- Leading the annual valuation process for the Group across all asset classes.
- Conducting retrospective analysis on past investments to inform future decision-making.
- Managing and coaching a team of Finance Partners to deliver insightful commercial analysis.
What We're Looking For: We are searching for a leader with the following qualifications and skills:
- ACA/CIMA/CFA qualified with significant PQE experience.
- Strong commercial acumen and leadership skills.
- Proven experience working with senior stakeholders and managing complex relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and implement long-term strategic plans.
- Sector experience in commercial property or energy is advantageous but not essential.
