Part-Time Permanent
- Term time (35 weeks): 3 days/24 hours a week that must include every Friday during term time but can be worked flexibly throughout the working week.
- School holidays: 18 hours per week for 5 weeks at times to be agreed with the deputy head: co-curricular, partnerships and admissions.
Flexibility will be needed according to events planned, and some evenings may be required.

Exciting and dynamic role as Head of Community Outreach and Partnerships. You will lead and take responsibility for the Outreach and Partnerships programmes, implementing partnerships and providing positive opportunities for the client and the local community.
Key Responsibilities as Head of Community Outreach and Partnerships:
Leadership
- Responsible for the leadership, organisation and smooth running of the partnership strategy that meets the objectives of the client.
- Building and maintaining an excellent relationship with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Managing planned expenditure and projected income closely with the Head of finance.
- Ensuring strategic targets and associated key performance indicators are met annually.
- Supporting and guiding the co-ordinator for partnerships in their duties, developing their confidence, understanding, and achieving their aims.
Outreach and partnership programmes
- Planning and delivering key partnership and outreach, working external and internal staff, to ensure successful implementation.
- Meeting with team on a regular basis to assess the impact of Outreach and partnership activities, and to adjust as necessary.
- Presenting Outreach and partnership programme information on a regular basis to key stakeholders.
Relationship building
- Developing warm and positive relationships with key figures in the local and wider community and relevant interest groups to the sector.
- Providing a welcoming, professional, and efficient point of contact between the community and the client.
- Ensuring that the impact of partnership working and outreach is communicated to, and shared amongst, all staff.
Communications
- Delivering positive and consistent messages about the Outreach and partnership programme through internal and external written publications, social media channels and the clients website.
- Responding to contacts about outreach, partnership activities from a wide range of external stakeholders, deciding how to handle enquiries and using discretion about providing appropriate information.
- Hosting external visitors and ensuring that they receive a positive impression.
- Establishing a business-like office environment and promoting good communications with staff.
General
- Maintaining absolute confidentiality in relevant aspects of work.
- Playing an active and full part in the client’s community.
- Complying with relevant client policies and procedures, including safeguarding procedures, at all times.
- Undertaking any other task that is within the individual’s abilities.
Key Requirements:
Qualifications and knowledge
- Knowledge of theory/practice of Outreach and partnership programmes (essential)
- Understanding of safeguarding (desirable)
Experience
- Record of developing and sustaining positive working relationships (essential)
- Experience of managing projects, strategic planning and implementation (desirable)
Skills
- Demonstrable ability to listen, build rapport, influence, and negotiate persuasively (essential)
- Excellent written and spoken English; with the ability to communicate clearly in a professional manner (essential)
- Ability to effectively plan, resource, and organise projects and tasks (essential)
