Head of Corporate Risk - Brand new role - London (1 day per week minimum) - £75,000 salary plus bonus, benefits
Working for a fantastic business with an excellent reputation in their industry, we're proud and excited to be recruiting for their brand new role of Head of Corporate Risk.
You'll be working closely with the Exec Team, and this role enables you to really add value and make an impact for the business.
What you'll be doing...
- Reviewing and challenging business area risk profiles, identifying key risk indicators, management action and responses to events
- Liaising with senior stakeholders to ensure that all findings and recommendations are vetted and communicated effectively
- Ongoing monitoring and assessment of the company risk profile in alignment with it's appetite to risk - looking at internal and external developments and trends
- Utilising KPI's, KRI's and KCI's employing suitable and consistent methodologies, models and systems
- Look at ways to automate processes to reduce risk and look at value-add activities
- Manage an appropriate governance structure to enable effective monitoring across the business
- Leading education throughout the business on risk awareness, demonstrating the required cultural traits and behaviours
- Develop, review and roll out any risk policies, standards, guidelines, templates and tools
- Engage in governance activities ensuring suitability, risk levels and alignment with making balanced risk decisions
- Creating and management of a Risk Management Committee
- Reporting to Exec Team
What experience you'll need?
?
- You are an experienced risk lead with proficiency in managing Corporate Risk management.
- You maintain and enhance the highest levels of risk management principles
- You promote a culture of innovation and continue improvement regarding risk and risk management.
- A balanced view and understanding of equilibrium between risk, control and growth opportunities
- An innovative mindset, addressing challenges and opportunities
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, confident in reporting, presenting to and challenging C-suite stakeholders
- Experience in conducting risk assurance assessments across a business to identify emerging risks - following up by implementing effective strategies
What else do you need to consider?
- This role is working closely with the Exec Team, so it's a highly visible role. You'll be expected to be in the London office at least 1 day per week initially and then ideally 1 day per week longer term (so please ensure you're ok with this prior to applying)
