Head of Collaboration

Slough (hybrid - 1-2 days per week in HQ)

Salary: Negotiable (dependent on experience)

Core responsibilities of the Head of Customer Collaboration:

To lead the KP Collaboration Team to achieve its fullest potential. With high trust and purpose, align with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that KP Collaboration Team is ‘Easy To Do Business With’ and delivers ‘Great Service Every Day’.


Day to day responsibilities of the Head of Customer Collaboration:

  • To lead, coach and support the KP Customer Collaboration Manager Team to its fullest potential (Example support senior team members to embed ‘Best in Class’)
  • Develop long term collaboration strategies with customers and ensure relevant governance reviews and plans are in place to manage them effectively. (Example : effective 30/60/90 meetings with customers)
  • Accountable for team members standardising processes and ways of working with customers in order to execute our plans, and any key customer changes, successfully
  • Ensuring team have robust annual Advantage Group Survey plans per customer, which maintain KP's overall top third position within the Impulse Category (Crisps, Soft Drinks, Confectionery, etc)
  • Ensuring team are effectively chairing weekly alignment call meetings and are providing clear customer insight in order together, with Demand Team colleagues, to deliver strong weekly forecast accuracy and bias
  • Leading internal relationships with Commercial, Marketing & Financial colleagues
  • Leading and maintaining strong partnership between collaboration and service teams to deliver continuous improvements in process, performance and behaviour
  • Accountable for: the completion of midyear and end of year performance reviews, objectives setting, enabling personal development opportunities, succession planning, and talent reviewing for team members
  • Accountability for team building of Standard Operating Procedures / Training Guides for department tasks
  • Provide business continuity to Head of Central Supply and Head of Supply, Logistics and Service in times of holiday and unplanned absence
  • Provide leadership and guidance to a team of Customer Collaboration professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in a senior customer-facing role within the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry, preferably within the snacks or food manufacturing sector
  • Demonstrable leadership qualities, including the ability to inspire and motivate teams, drive change, and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Strong understanding of retail dynamics, including category management, merchandising, and promotional strategies
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills, with a track record of successfully managing complex customer relationships and driving business results
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute collaborative initiatives that align with company goals and objectives
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and interpretation to inform decision-making
  • Effective communicator with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and build consensus across diverse stakeholders
  • Leadership qualities, including the ability to inspire and motivate teams, drive change, and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation
  • Highly organised with strong project management skills, capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Adaptability and resilience to navigate ambiguity and drive results in a dynamic and evolving market landscape
