The opportunity:
CVS Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Cyber Security to lead our organization's efforts in safeguarding our digital assets and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in PCI compliance, mainstream Cyber Security tooling and managing relationships with third–party cyber product providers along. They should be an engaging character and able to inspire IT and not–IT professionals and colleagues to engage with cyber and info security initiatives.
The responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive Cyber Security strategies, policies, and procedures to protect CVS Group's digital infrastructure and sensitive information.
- Lead efforts to achieve and maintain PCI compliance, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations and standards.
- Evaluate, select, and implement cloud backup solutions to enhance data protection and disaster recovery capabilities.
- Establish and maintain relationships with third–party Cyber Security vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts and managing vendor performance.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and security audits to identify vulnerabilities and develop mitigation plans.
- Oversee incident response and breach management protocols, ensuring timely detection, containment, and resolution of Cyber Security incidents.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the IT team and wider business, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Stay abreast of emerging cyber threats, trends, and technologies, recommending proactive measures to mitigate risks and enhance security posture.
- Collaborate with cross–functional teams, including IT, legal, and compliance, to integrate Cyber Security considerations into business processes and decision–making.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing regular updates on Cyber Security initiatives, risks, and compliance status.
The skills:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a senior Cyber Security role.
- In–depth knowledge of Cyber Security principles, practices, technologies, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve strategic objectives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to assess complex situations, identify root causes, and develop pragmatic solutions.
- Demonstrated track record of successful project management and execution in a fast–paced, dynamic environment.
