Role Details
We are seeking a Head of Data to provide leadership to the Business Intelligence (BI) team at Regent's, significantly contribute to the external statutory returns (including HESA Data Futures) and to manage the delivery of a comprehensive suite of Data dashboards for internal stakeholders.
The BI area of the University is undergoing transformational technology change and the postholder will help develop the roadmap and strategy for reinventing the data architecture to support the University's data requirements in the future.
Within the University there are several dashboards that track different aspects of the student journey, from application to alumni, utilising data from various databases in a Data Warehouse. Due to a change in our curriculum model from termly to yearly, we are taking the initiative to revamp our data model and strategy and exploring modern technical solutions, such as Data Lake architectures.
This transition presents an opportunity to not only reshape the way data is stored and managed but also to reassess the current set of dashboards. We want to align these dashboards with the university's strategic objectives and enhance our ability to support the overall goals of the institution by using a more comprehensive dataset.
To be successful, you should have experience of leading a Data /BI team formed of Data professionals; a background of managing and leading on a number of initiatives (including setting priorities and allocating resources effectively); a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the UK Higher Education policy environment; with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a strong customer focus.
