Your new role
The incumbent job holder will be tasked with leading a sizeable design division, and lead them in ensuring robust delivery and capability from estimation through to site installation, ensuring milestones and parameters are met with regard to budget, programme and to clients' specification. You will be responsible for all aspects of Design across all projects within the organisation's portfolio, giving a focus to best practice, adding value, enhancing buildability and maximising commerciality. This role has a pivotal part to play in driving digital construction in terms of implementation and pushing boundaries & continual improvement of workstreams and collaboration.

As can be imagined, the full spectrum of roles and responsibilities is wide-ranging, and, as such, will be fully disclosed as part of the interview process.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have a 3rd level qualification within Architecture, Construction or Interior design, and have an impressive portfolio of previous involvement on £multi-million projects, ideally including sizeable / extensive fit-out packages. In addition, you should have been involved in these works at a senior level, with demonstrable experience of managing such including design through all stages. You'll have a profound depth of knowledge across design methodologies, typologies and software implementation, with the ability to trouble shoot, conceptualise and deliver complex schemes. This position requires excellent leadership and people-management skills with the ability to competently juggle multiple projects and deliver simultaneous results. You should be comfortable liaising with operational teams, clients, stakeholders and supply team partners. It is expected that you will have a grasp of digital construction, value engineering and the latest building regulations.

Whilst by no means extensive, there may be sporadic travel involved with this position (ranging from once to 3-4 times a month at peak times).
