Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust have established a 3 year portfolio of Digital projects that underpin the delivery of the Corporate Strategy. These digital enablers focus on delivering high quality, safe and effective mental health care through digital solutions.
Our intention is to grow our use of Digital technology to match Digital Exemplar Mental Health Trusts to achieve an outstanding standard of service delivery that is among the best in the Country.
KMPT is therefore seeking an experienced Head of Digital Transformation, with a track record of delivering business transformation, working as a key member of the Digital and Performance Senior Management Team, providing leadership to enable the Digital Transformation of clinical and corporate services.

Portfolio & Project Management:
  • Senior Leadership
  • Build and maintain excellent relationships with key business stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain a strategic portfolio plan of all digital projects.
  • Oversee the delivery of all digital projects Trust wide.
  • Oversee the delivery of business process re-engineering Trust wide.
  • Ensure patient safety in the delivery of new digital capabilities.
Resource Management:
  • Resource planning for Digital, clinical and corporate teams.
  • Undertake bids for future funding.
  • Ensure projects are delivered within funding and timescale constraints.
  • Oversee procurement of Digital solutions.
Stakeholder Management:
  • Raise the profile of Digital Transformation.
  • Engage with Executives to provide updates on progress.
  • Work with Executives and senior leaders on the delivery of Digital projects.
  • Escalate issues to executives as appropriate.

You will develop and lead a newly restructured team of project, PMO and business analyst professionals to deliver co-designed Digital Transformation that places the patient at the heart of projects.
You will work at portfolio level, ensuring that projects/initiatives can progress to meet the corporate strategy timeline reporting into the Data and Digital Strategy Group on a monthly basis.
You will lead a team of Project Managers, Business Analysts and create a Portfolio and Project Management Office to support the work of the team. You will ensure that projects are managed appropriately, putting in place the right controls to ensure there is effective governance in place to deliver new capabilities, where patient safety is of paramount importance alongside effective management of time and budget constraints.
You will have accountability, responsibility and freedom to act and oversight of all aspects in the delivery of the Digital and Data Portfolio of Projects, throughout the full lifecycle, working to deliver measurable cashable and non-cashable savings right across the portfolio of Digital and data projects and initiatives.
You will be a skilled senior leader, with expert project knowledge which you have developed from a range of experiences, providing evidence of previous successful delivery of large and complex transformational digital change.
