33 hours per week The University of Chester prides itself on its high-quality support for students with disabilities and its commitment to inclusion. We are now looking to recruit an experienced and passionate leader to manage our Disability Services provision and drive positive change for both our students. The post is for 4.5 days per week/33 hours per week, working pattern to be agreed on appointment. You will be responsible for the management of the Disability and Inclusion Service as a whole and implementation of the inclusion strategy for the University across all sites. You will have in-depth knowledge and extensive experience of Disability support processes in higher education. As an inspiring leader, you will have a focus on continual improvement through policy and procedure development. You will set strategic objectives across the Disability and Inclusion Team that are linked to the wider Student Services strategy and University approaches as a whole. Recognising that building effective networks is essential to high-quality student support you will play an active part in liaising with University staff and agencies such as the NHS and third sector organisations. In order to ensure seamless support for students you will manage the Disability Team Leader, Academic Skills tutor, Specific Learning Difference tutor and Specialist Mentor drawing on their specialist knowledge to refine processes and service delivery. You will also be conversant with data preparation and analysis to enable an evidence-based approach to your work and will be educated to degree standard (or equivalent level qualification). We require you to embed this data in high-quality reports for delivery in senior management settings. We encourage applications from a diverse range of applicants.
