The role
As a Head of Electrical Services, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll be a dually authorised person for the nuclear site operating HV (High Voltage) network, keeping the business safe and compliant.
Day to day, you'll ensure the safe operations of all HV plant and associated equipment.
- To appoint persons working on the HV networks.
- To ensure availability of the HV networks and associated equipment.
- To ensure that a safe system of work is extant and trained for all persons working on or near the HV distribution systems.
- To act as senior authorised person for the safe operation of the HV distribution systems.
- To provide leadership and advice and make informed decisions as required for HV services and operations.
This role is full time, and based on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard with hybrid working from home arrangements.
Essential experience of the Head of Electrical Services:
- Assisting the management of project delivery in a nuclear licensed site environment.
- Design technical governance and configuration through construction and application of change control.
- Management of NEC4 suite of contracts (ECC & PSC options A, C & E)
- CEMAR software
Qualifications for the Head of Electrical Services:
- Minimum of HNC/HND (Degree preferred) in a relevant engineering discipline.
- APM project management qualification (minimum PMQ)
- NEC Accredited Project Manager (preferred)
- IOSH
The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
