SF Recruitment are supporting a fantastic Telford based charity in the recruitment of a Head of Finance. The Head of Finance will have operational responsibility for the Finance Department, and line management responsibility for the finance team. The successful candidate will be a qualified Accountant with proven experience in both accounting and management at a senior level.
Key tasks:
- Prepare the monthly management accounts implementing a best practice approach to internal controls.
- Prepare the quarterly Board reports and present them at the Finance Committee meetings.
- Deliver all reports to the relevant deadlines.
- Prepare the detailed annual budget and relevant re-forecasts automating processes where possible.
- Prepare the operational budget timetable and work with internal customers to enable the business to meet agreed deadlines.
- Prepare and deliver the operational audit plan
- Manage new and existing regulatory requirements where appropriate and incorporate them into the financial and management accounts.
- Complete and deliver operational information/payments to HMRC, National Statistics and other government and regulatory bodies as required. This includes VAT returns.
- Management of the payroll process ensuring payments are accurate and on time.
- Management of the relationship with the external payroll provider.
- Provide necessary payroll reports as required.
