SalaryA unique opportunity has arisen working for a growing Insurer based in the heart of the City. Reporting into the CFO you will be responsible for the day to day running of a small team. You will be responsible for overseeing the production of all Lloyd's, statutory, and group reporting, and HMRC tax filings, for the Lloyd's syndicate, managing agency, corporate member, service company, and other related companies.
Some of your responsibilities will include but not be restricted to
- Oversee preparation of all Lloyd's finance returns including QSR, QAD, QMA, ASR, AAD, QF1, AF1 and others as they arise.
- Oversee preparation of quarterly group reporting pack and related UK group consolidation and deal with related queries from group reporting team as they arise.
- Oversee preparation of all relevant tax returns including corporation tax, VAT and Lloyd's syndicate tax returns for UK, US, and Canadian tax.
- Oversee preparation of UK statutory accounts for all companies in the group
- Act as the primary contact for the external auditor.
- Assist the CFO with managing the Funds at Lloyd's and related communication with Lloyd's.
- Oversee the monthly and quarterly financial close processes, and timetable, and ensure all material balance sheet accounts are reconciled on a regular basis.
- Assist the CFO with the production of papers for boards and committees as required.
- Manage the syndicate and group reporting teams and help the development of all team members.
- Maintain a strong working relationship with the other finance managers and other teams that interact with finance, including actuarial, reinsurance, claims, and underwriting management.
- Assist the CFO with identifying potential areas for improvement within finance systems and processes and formulating and implementing suitable solutions.
- Any other reasonable duties that fall under the remit of the role being performed
You will need to be a qualified accountant with experience of working in a Lloyd's environment with knowledge of Financial and Lloyds reporting. This is a 6 month contract with scope of extension, if this is something that looks of interest please do not hesitate to contact me.
