About Our Client
We are delighted to be working with an established Childrens Charity who are looking to bring on a Head of Finance as we head into the new year. This is a truly exciting time for both the organisation as a whole and the finance team, following the introduction of a new finance system and the news of some additional project funding for 2024, they will be looking for someone to be involved in key projects and who is well versed in leading a team.
Job Description
- Work closely with budget managers and the Executive Team whilst taking a lead on the annual budget setting process.
- Production of monthly management accounts and forecasts
- Preparation of financial statements and liaison with auditors as required
- Work closely with funders and be a key player in ensuring the new projects go ahead as planned and the finances align.
- Develop and maintain systems and procedures to ensure that the organisation complies with good practice, financial regulations and audit recommendations
- Provide information and support for decision making, such as key commercial decisions or funding applications
- Manage and improve financial controls and develop reporting, maximising benefits from the introduction of a new finance system.
- Lead, support and develop the finance team.
- Production and delivery of strategic and financial planning information
The Successful Applicant
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA or similar level of qualification
- Experienced in running a finance team.
- Experience leading on projects would be desirable/ working with multiple income streams.
- High attention to detail and accuracy, as well as strong interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of Charity SORP is necessary.

- £60,000- 65,000 per annum
