Job Role: Head of Finance and Operations

Salary: £60,000-65,000 pro rata

Contract length: 6 months.

Location: Birmingham

Working Pattern: Full Time | 2-3 days wfh

Trinity House Group have partnered with a value led organisation in city centre Birmingham, looking for a Finance Lead to oversee the financial and operational aspects of the organisation. This role will be providing high-quality financial and corporate services, including ICT, health and safety, and human resources, while offering leadership and guidance to Finance and Funded Projects teams.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a robust financial policy framework to guide decision-making.
• Oversee Finance team operations, including accounting systems, controls, and records.
• Offer financial advice to stakeholders and act as the primary liaison between management and the Board on financial matters.
• Manage cash flow, investments, and relationships with financial stakeholders.
• Supervise operations, including policies, insurances, and office management.
• Monitor project budgets to ensure alignment with deliverables.
• Support business development and bid proposals for new projects.
• Assist in income generation efforts.

Qualifications/ Experience

• A strong attention to detail is essential.
• Experience working on a balance sheet.
• Public Sector background is desirable but not essential.
• Previous experience leading central finance operations.
