They specialise in creating Luxembourg-hubbed products (mainly) and work with impressive blue-chip Private Markets GP's, asset managers, wealth managers and private banks. Best described as a dynamic and rapidly expanding global business, this client has created a senior position for a talented Head of Fund Operations to join their headquarters in London. The Head of Fund Operations will spearhead an international team of 16 professionals, encompassing Distribution, Client Onboarding, Client Servicing, Fund Control, and Fund Financing. Your Role:As the Head of Fund Operations, your leadership will define the future business processes and will lead an international team.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and inspire an international team of 16, driving excellence in distribution, client servicing, compliance, client onboarding, fund control and fund financing.
• Forge strong relationships with high-profile clients, enhancing the existing distribution network of GPs, private banks, wealth managers and asset managers.
• Define and implement best-in-class processes.
• Leverage your knowledge of Private Markets.

Team Responsibilities:
Under your guidance, the team will:
Distribution, Client Onboarding, Client Servicing:

• Management of the onboarding processes for distributors, including legal agreement support and the completion of KYD & AML processes and documentation checks.
• Providing best-in-class service to distributors and investors while overseeing third party administrator and distributor services.
• Enhance connectivity and data sharing with distributors, ensuring seamless fund data integration and trade order processing.
• Support the creation and dissemination of marketing materials, such as pitch books and teasers, to articulate our client's value proposition effectively.
• Oversee comprehensive investor services, from subscription and onboarding to AML and documentation checks, ensuring regulatory compliance at every step.

Fund Control & Financing:

• Fund NAV Production and Oversight: Directing an international team dedicated to the meticulous production, oversight, and administration of Fund NAVs, with a background in hedge fund UCITs. Experience with alternative investments adds value, though it's not mandatory.
• Fund Lifecycle Management: oversight of the entire fund lifecycle, from formation to daily operations, ensuring robust service models are developed for managing funds across multiple jurisdictions.
• Fund Governance and Compliance Support: Providing essential support to the fund governance board, AIFM, Depositary, etc., maintaining high standards of compliance and governance, including adherence to AIFMD, PRIIPs/KID, and tax reporting requirements.
• Oversight of Fund Administration Activities: Management of all aspects of Fund capital activities, including subscriptions, redemptions, capital calls, and distributions, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
• Budgeting and Financial Management: Oversight of Fund expense budgeting and invoicing, alongside managing fund tax considerations in collaboration with tax advisors to understand key tax risks.
• Audit and Service Provider Oversight: Oversight of the fund audit process and managing relationships with service providers, including their selection, onboarding, and ongoing service review, to guarantee quality service and cost optimisation for fund investors.
• Operational Excellence and Technology Integration: Implementing and developing an operating model that incorporates efficient processes, standards, and technology solutions to support the fund's growth and scalability, including documentation of procedures.
• Vendor/Administrator Management: Actively leading the engagement with vendors and administrators to ensure that operational aspects meet the fund's strategic objectives and operational efficiency, with a focus on hands-on involvement in managing these critical relationships.

About You:

• Qualified accountant or degree-educated, demonstrating exceptional leadership within Private Markets, complemented by strong communication skills and a notable professional track record.
• Experienced in leading Fund Operations for a private market's private wealth manager, asset manager, retail bank or Private Markets fund administrator.
• Sound knowledge of Private Markets, with a strategic mind and a self-starter attitude.
• A proven leader, capable of inspiring a diverse team.
