Job description

Reporting To: Director of Income

Responsible For: Partnership Managers

Contract: Permanent, Full Time

Place of Work: Hybrid (London office once a week)

Benefits:

  • 25 days annual leave per year, plus public holidays;
  • Company electronic devices;
  • Competitive pension;
  • Health insurance.

This role plays a vital part as the organisation looks towards the future.  Following an income diversification programme over the last two years, commissioned income now forms over 30% of the charity total income. The Head of Commissioned Partnerships will be responsible for growing this income stream, building on the current Shout keyword partnerships whilst identifying new opportunities for commissioned partnerships, developing a qualified prospect pipeline and delivering new income.

The Head of Commissioned Partnerships will meet agreed income targets, as well as develop long-term funding strategies to underpin the planning, delivery and growth of the Shout service, whilst considering the future products and services for the charity.

Additionally, the Head of Commissioned Partnerships will manage two Partnership Managers to continue to support MHI commissioned partners throughout the life of their contract, proactively working on what our partners need and the additional support we can provide, along with co-managing the MHI Training Lead as an additional income generating stream.

Please see the attached Job Description for further information about this role.

About Mental Health Innovations (MHI)

Founded in November 2017 following the success of The Royal Foundation’s ‘Heads Together’ campaign, it launched its first product, Shout, in 2019. Shout is a free, confidential, 24/7 text message service for anybody to text when they may be struggling with anxiety, loneliness or depression through to self harm or suicidal thoughts.

Our Vision is that everyone in the UK has access to the digital mental health services that they need.

Our Mission is to use data-driven analysis, clinical expertise and technological innovation to develop and sustain pioneering digital products and services that meet under-served needs and that improve the mental health of the UK population.  Through the collective power of our staff and volunteers, supporters, fundraisers, funders and partners, we will move closer to achieving this mission.

Shout is a free text messaging support service, available 24/7 to anyone in the UK who is struggling to cope.  Every single minute, someone reaches out to Shout for support and has a conversation that could save their life.  Our trained volunteers and clinicians are there around the clock to support texters whenever they need us, listening without judgement, helping them to a calmer state so that they can discuss and develop a personal safety plan with signposting to further support where needed.  Where a texter is deemed to be at imminent risk of suicide, Shout works with the emergency services to intervene.  In our first four years, Shout has scaled to take two million conversations with 675,000 children, young people and adults who have needed immediate mental health support.  We have teams in the UK and New Zealand working around the clock, offering support to the UK public when most other mental health services are not available.  Anyone can text SHOUT to 85258 to receive support, at any time of the day or night.
